Cloudy water inside the curtain clearly shows the silt/sediment being contained within the work area.

Product:         Enviro-USA Floating Turbidity Barrier Type 2 with a 10 ft impermeable skirt.

Project Location:     Salmon Arm, B.C. Canada

Project Information:    Replacement of bridge – The curtains surround a coffer dam to isolate the area where they’ll be pounding in new steel pilings.

What does this picture show?

This picture is great because it gives us a chance to see the cloudy water (silt/sediment) within the Floating Turbidity Barrier. And it also allows us to see the clean and clear water on the exterior of the curtain. Please note that this product was designed to serve this very purpose. Confine any silt and sediment within a work area, while keeping the water outside of the work area clean, clear and free of any silt and sediment. The water is so clear on the outside of the curtain that we can practically see the bottom of the yellow curtain.

Water is clean and clear enough to see the rocks at the bottom of the river.

What does this picture show?

This picture is great because it allows us to see the rocks at the bottom of the river. This is particularly important because of how close in proximity this clean and clear water is to the Floating Turbidity Curtain. This product was designed to control and confine any silt and sediment within the work area, the clean and clear water that you see is a clear testament that the product is working 100% the way it was designed to. The lack of cloudy water is the best proof that we have that the product is working as designed.
