Enviro-USA’s Seaweed Barriers are 100% manufactured in Florida, USA. Our barriers were designed to help the sargassum continue to drift, while being redirected back out to sea, without causing it any harm. The idea was never to trap it, but to help it move along and our barriers do that. Designed for beachfront resorts and hotels to keep their beaches clean and free of seaweed.
Our Seaweed Barriers have been tested and have shown that they have the capacity to withstand tides up to 6 ft height, 9 mph currents (equivalent to almost 8 knots), and winds up to 25 mph.
These barriers can reduce the amount of sargassum that arrives to beaches and coastlines by 85%. In a recent study our barriers decreased the amount of dump trucks used to remove the seaweed (sargassum) from beaches and shores, from 20 to 3 truckloads.
Enviro-USA’s Medium Duty Seaweed Barriers were designed to help sargassum continue to drift, while being redirected back out to sea, without causing it any harm. The idea was never to trap it, but to help it move along and our barriers do that. Designed for beachfront resorts and hotels to keep their beaches clean and free of seaweed. For use in Resort and Hotel beaches, ports, bays, marinas, and/or when there are light to medium amounts of seaweed.
Enviro-USA’s Heavy Duty Seaweed Barriers were designed to help sargassum continue to drift, while being redirected back out to sea, without causing it any harm. The idea was never to trap it, but to help it move along and our barriers do that. Designed for beachfront resorts and hotels to keep their beaches clean and free of seaweed. For use in unprotected beaches, bays, ports, and/or when there are large amounts of seaweed.
Enviro-USA’s accessories include 22, 40, and 65 lb. anchor systems to hold the seaweed barriers in place, Medium and Large Tow Bridles to tow the barriers in place, Marker Lights to identify barrier location, and Piling & Boom Separators to protect your seaweed barrier from abrasion.
