Overview

Floating Water Baffles: Custom-Engineered Flow Control and Water Treatment Solutions

Floating Water Baffles are custom-engineered barrier systems designed to control water movement, improve treatment efficiency and create more effective flow patterns within ponds, basins and other water treatment areas. Enviro-USA™ Floating Water Baffles are designed to help reduce Total Suspended Solids (TSS), lower thermal exchange, improve Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) performance and support compliance with state and federal discharge requirements. Each system can be engineered around the basin dimensions, operating conditions and performance requirements of a specific project.

Floating Water Baffles can be configured with flow-around ends or reinforced flow-through openings to direct water through a desired treatment path and improve circulation within the basin. Flow openings are custom-sized for the required water movement, with the Enviro-USA™ system designed for a maximum flow rate of 30 gallons per square foot of opening per minute. Systems can also incorporate reinforced flow-through windows, chemically compatible materials, hook-and-loop options, stainless-steel components and dual tension cables to meet project-specific requirements.
Enviro-USA™ Floating Water Baffles are manufactured from durable marine-grade reinforced coated or laminated materials selected for resistance to chemicals, UV exposure and marine growth. Baffles are available with site-specific lengths and skirt depths up to 50 feet, with skirts that can be configured to match basin slopes when required. Float type can also be selected based on the chemical composition of the water, helping provide a customized solution for long-term operation in lined ponds and treatment basins.
