Product Launch – Permanent Oil Containment Boom
Cape Canaveral, Florida: Enviro-USA has released a new and more cost-effective Permanent Oil Containment Boom (a.k.a. long-term boom, hard boom). The standard permanent oil containment boom features lead weight ballast and our economical/cost effective alternative has a 3/8” galvanized chain for ballast. The permanent oil containment boom is designed for permanent installations and used in ports typically when tankers come in to load or offload any type of hydrocarbon or fuel. They are also used in harbors, and around piers where abrasion is a factor.
Enviro’s permanent booms are manufactured in the USA; the floats are filled with polyurethane foam and are made of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) which creates an impact resistant hard shell. They are orange in color to provide great visibility; the permanent boom is offered in 18”, 24”, and 36” overall height – our team of experts love custom jobs! In addition, we use ASTM universal heavy duty marine grade aluminum connectors with stainless steel bolts, nuts and toggle pins. Furthermore, every connector comes with a handle and anchor point and the fabric is heavy duty PVC black belting.
